Greetings SVMGA Membership!
It is that time of year again when we all need to think about volunteering to be a Board Member for our organization or serving on one of our committees. We have several vacancies that must be filled at the January meeting. As we all know our organization has seen tremendous growth over the last few years, and for us to continue to grow or maintain our current status, membership must step forward and become actively involved. Up to this point we have fortunately had a group of dedicated members that have seen that the Board positions have remained filled, that the sales have gone on as scheduled, and information is disseminated to membership via the website or emails. This group of individuals has done a fabulous job, but now needs help from the rest of the membership!
We continue to recruit for the 2015 Board and have two critical positions that no one has expressed an interest in. SVMGA as an organization can not function if these two positions aren’t filled at the meeting on January 22nd. If you would like to insure that our organization continues and has the capability to market and sell our goats and sheep at premium prices, please consider serving on the Board of Directors. At this time we need volunteers to step forward and fill the Board Positions of Secretary and Treasurer.
Although we have volunteers that have come forward to serve in the following roles, anyone can still be nominated and it will go to a vote at the January meeting.
Volunteers to date that have been nominated for the 2015 Board:
-President – Fontaine Talley
-First Vice President – David Snyder
-Second Vice President – Mike Ober
-Member at Large – Kim Grossman
– Secretary – NO VOLUNTEER TO DATE
-Treasure – NO VOLUNTEER TO DATE
If you are interested in serving in one of these positions, please email one of the Nominating Committee Members: Denise Hudson, Mike Ober, or Fontaine Talley.
Thanks for your consideration, Denise Hudson
